Ruth Goring’s poetry collection Yellow Doors was published in 2003 by WordFarm, and she has just begun shopping around her second manuscript, a set of poems set in Colombia, South America, where she grew up. Conte, Off the Coast, White Pelican Review, Raving Dove, The Externalist, and Mars Hill Review are some of the journals where her poems have appeared. Ruth won the Good Reads Poetry Contest, August 2009. She lives in Chicago, edits books at a university press, and works on poems during her daily bus and train commute.
