Elaine Howell lives in Los Angeles and works in higher education as a writer. She has an M.A. in English, and her short stories have been published ZYZZYVA, The Black Boot, and Hemispheres. One story was a finalist in Glimmer Train’s Short Story Contest for New Writers, and one (thanks to the cooperation of Pooh and Piglet) was first runner-up in the International Imitation Hemingway Competition.
