Sally is first and foremost, a friendly writer.
Tired of all the “no” that’s running rampant out there in the real world, Sally decided to plant a little “yes” on her little half-acre of the blogosphere and that’s how Writer Friendly got started.
The credits: Sally is a former PEN Emerging Voices Fellow whose writing has appeared in Weber:The Contemporary West, ZYZZYVA, The Oral History Review, Storyhouse and elsewhere. Her photography has been published in Poets & Writers Online, Weber:TCW, Raving Dove, The Houston Literary Review and Bird Talk. Her first published short story was named one of “100 Other Distinguished Stories” in Best American Short Stories 1999.
Her creative nonfiction and photography is scheduled to appear in the premier issue of Hear Us Roar, a literary newspaper.
Sally conducts script research for TV and movies on weekdays and lives in the high desert mountains of Los Angeles County with her fabulously talented husband and a small, deeply devoted flock of birds. She keeps a photography/food/travel blog at Any Given Sundry.
